Sedalia man hurt in Pettis County accident
Matthew J. Mahalovich, 20, of Sedalia, sustained minor injuries at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mahalovich was driving a 2005 Hyundai Tucson east on Route Y, east of Van Natta Road, when the vehicle began sliding on the slush-covered roadway. It crossed the centerline of the road and traveled off the north side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Urgent Care via private vehicle.
Smithton woman injured in Pettis accident
Ashley M. Edwards, 29, of Smithton, sustained moderate injuries at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Edwards was driving a 2018 GMC Sierra north on South Route 135 at Route HH when she traveled off the roadway and struck a ditch.
She was wearing a seat belt, and was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
