Independence man injured in intoxicated driving accident

Javen W. Wolford, 18, of Independence, sustained moderate injuries at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wolford was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 west on Route 7, east of Northwest 800 Road, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, returned to the roadway, and overturned.

It's unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. He was transported to Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville by Garden City EMS and released.

Wolford was arrested for driving while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol, and careless and imprudent driving.

Four hurt on icy roads in Henry County accident

A 16-year-old male from Lincoln, Blaze M. Counts, 36, of Windsor, and Elmo E. Fannon, 41, of Windsor, sustained moderate injuries, and Mark B. Doleman, 58, of Windsor, sustained minor injuries at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Chevrolet truck driven by Mark X. Miller, 66, of Chillicothe, was eastbound on Route Y at Route 00 when he slid on the ice-covered road, failed to stop at a stop sign, and struck a 2016 Chevrolet truck driven south by Kyle Wolfd, 39, of Clinton.

Counts, the 16-year-old, and Doleman were not wearing seat belts and were transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by ambulance. Bannon was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital as well.

Two injured in Johnson County accident

Elaina R. Fox, 32, of Warrensburg, and Mark R. Steelman, 62, of Deepwater, sustained moderate injuries at 8:49 a.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Dodge Ram driven by Steelman north on Route 13 at Southeast 21 Road crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2014 Hyundai driven by Fox.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Intoxicated Holden driver seriously injured in Johnson accident

Jeremy L. Sisk, 46, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 7 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the driver failed to stop at a stop sign on County Road SW 100 and County Road SW 250 in his 2012 Ford F250, causing the vehicle to travel off the north side of the roadway, strike a ditch, a fence, and several trees.

Sisk, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg and released.

He was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated - aggravated offender, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Osage Beach woman injured in intoxicated driving accident

Macey B. Novogradac, 31, of Osage Beach, sustained moderate injuries at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Novogradac was driving a 2001 Honda Civic south on Route 5 at Gravois Heights Road when she attempted to pass a vehicle with insufficient room and struck an oncoming 2012 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Megan F. Milligan, 28, of Stover. The Civic then traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned into a driveway.

Novogradac, who was wearing a seat belt, was arrested for driving while intoxicated - prior offender, and careless and imprudent driving. She was released for medical attention and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo Ambulance District.

St. Louis woman killed in Morgan County accident

Bridget M. Burgoon, 20, of St. Louis, was killed, and Chad R. Guendelsberger, 43, of Weston, sustained minor injuries at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado driven west by Burgoon on U.S. Highway 50, a half-mile east of Old Highway 50, lost control on the slick roadway and spun into the path of an eastbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Guendelsberger.

Burgoon was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City and pronounced dead by Dr. Matthew Greenstein. Guendelsberger was transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Two from Clinton in serious condition after being hit by drunk driver

Tricia L. Swindler, 28, and Thomas S. West, 42, of both Clinton, both sustained serious injuries, and Carson S. Gerke, 21, of Windsor, sustained minor injuries at 2:08 a.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2012 GMC truck driven by Gerke west on Route 52 west of Highway B traveled into the opposing lane and struck a 1993 Ford truck driven by West.

Gerke refused treatment and was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated resulting in serious injury and a lane violation. He was processed and released at the scene.

Swindler was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence and West was transported to University Hospital in Columbia.

No one in the accident was wearing a seat belt.

Warsaw woman injured in Pettis accident

Casey L. King, 30, of Warsaw, sustained moderate injuries at 6:39 p.m. Sunday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, King was driving a 2002 Nissan Armada south on U.S. Highway 65 at Marigold Road when she left the roadway and struck a ditch.

She was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
