Woman hurt in Pettis crash
A Clarksburg woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8 p.m. Monday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sherry L. Cox, 74, of Clarksburg, was driving south on U.S. 65 at state Route 765 when she failed to yield to a northbound vehicle driven by Dennis A. Bixenman, 62, of Marceline. Bixenman’s vehicle then struck Cox’s vehicle.
A passenger in Cox’s vehicle, Julie A. Fisher, 56, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Reports indicate Bixenman and Cox were wearing a seat belt but Fisher was not.
