16-year-old girl injured in Saline accident
A 16-year-old female from Sweet Springs sustained moderate injuries at 9 p.m. Thursday in a Saline County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2003 Honda MDX on I-70 at the 65-mile marker when she swerved into the right lane, striking a 2022 International tractor-trailer driven by Jeffrey D. Hill Jr., 23, of St. Louis, and then lost control, hitting the cable barrier.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The girl was transported by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.
