Woman hurt in Johnson accident

A Bates City woman suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Emily A. Wilder, 21, was driving south on state Route 131, 184 feet after County Road Northwest 700, when she failed to negotiate a left curve, causing her vehicle to travel off the right side of the road. She lost control and the vehicle struck an embankment where it came to rest.

Wilder, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for her injuries.

Laurie woman injured in Morgan crash

A Laurie woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Linda F. Wilburn, 83, was driving south on state Route 5 at U.S. Route 50 when she failed to stop at the intersection. She crossed U.S. 50 and traveled off the road. The vehicle went airborne and struck a pile of rocks.

Wilburn, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center for minor injuries.

Man seriously injured in Moniteau crash

A Lone Jack man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2:30 a.m. Monday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cody J. Baker, 28, was driving a motorcycle west on U.S. Route 50, west of Koerkenmeier Road, when he failed to navigate a curve in the road. The vehicle crossed the center of the road and overturned.

Baker was taken by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center. It is unknown if he was wearing a helmet.
