Holden teen hurt in wreck

A Holden teenager suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:40 p.m. Friday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Madison N. Hahn, 16, was driving south on state Route U, 596 feet north of Bridge P0808, when she entered a curve too fast for the conditions and her vehicle began sliding. It crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned onto its side.

Hahn, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for her injuries.

Three seriously injured in Johnson

Three people suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 5:15 a.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a Ford F-150 was traveling east on U.S. Highway 50, nine-tenths of a mile west of Northwest 751 Road when it traveled off the left side of the road, through a field and struck a tree. The report does not list the name of the driver.

Carlos Alvarez, 26, of Marshall, and Irving Y. Catalan Rodriguez, 23, of Sedalia, were taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. Jessica Y. Quetzecua, 25, of Sedalia, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Reports indicate none of the occupants were wearing a seat belt.
