Sedalia man hurt in Pettis crash
Charles E. Heaper, 58, of Sedalia, was moderately injured at 8:10 p.m. March 25 in a crash in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Heaper was northbound on U.S. 65 just south of Bothwell Park Road in a 1999 Dodge Ram when he was rear-ended by a northbound 2004 Dodge Ram driven by Jeriah P. Kropf, 20, of Marshall. After impact, Kropf’s vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway into the median coming to rest facing north. Heaper’s vehicle came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of U.S. 65 facing north.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Heaper was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
