Odessa teen hurt and Johnson accident

A 17-year-old female from Oddesa received minor injuries at 7:17 a.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving west at 9992 northwest U.S. Highway 50 in a 2014 Dodge Caravan when she was rear-ended as she was slowing for traffic by a 2021 Dodge Ram 350 driven by Austin B. Lackey, 23, of Osceola.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and the juvenile was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Lone Jack Fire Department. 

Marshall man injured in Saline rollover

Ryan C. Campbell, 24, of Marshall, received moderate injuries at 5:45 a.m. Friday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Campbell was driving north on U.S. Highway 65 north of Jewel Avenue in a 2008 Chevrolet when he fell asleep, traveled off the road, and overturned. 

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Saline County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.
