This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 28

3:36 a.m.: Amanda D. Meyer, 26, of the 19000 block of Maltsbarger Road, was arrested after Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 13th Street and Montgomery Avenue for a registration violation. During the course of the stop, it was determined the driver had a suspended driver's license and a Pettis County warrant with a $10,000 Bond. The driver was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

2:51 p.m.: Dale W. Kabler, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the emergency room at Bothwell Regional Health Center for a subject trespassing. Kabler refused to leave when told. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of first-degree trespassing. 

Incidents

April 24

11:19 p.m.: Officers responded to an agency assist call with the Children's Division in the 1200 block of West 11th Street. An allegation against a household member was investigated. The investigation is ongoing.

April 27

1:22 a.m.: Officers responded to the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue in reference to a single-vehicle collision. The driver stated she had been sexually assaulted just prior to the collision. A separate investigation was started for the assault. A suspect has not been identified at this time.

April 28

8:07 a.m.: An officer responded to Housel Park, 201 E. Howard St., in reference to a burglary. A maintenance employee explained the concession stand had been forced open. Nothing was taken from the building.

Incidents

April 27

Midnight: Deputies took a report of an assault that occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street in La Monte.

April 28

2 a.m.: Deputies took a report of property damage in the 100 block of Villa Drive. The victim had  a tire on two of his vehicles deflated or slashed.

10:30 p.m.: The K-9 unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Hall Road and U.S. Highway 65 when the driver continued onto Lake Shore Drive. The driver, a juvenile, continued fleeing with the deputy’s emergency lights activated. The juvenile continued to the 2900 block of Lake Shore Drive, pulling into their garage and then shutting the door before the deputy could stop the garage door from shutting. Deputies were able to make contact with the juvenile’s mother, identified as Angelica Villagomez. The juvenile was detained and later released back to the mother's care. Deputies will be submitting summonses and paperwork to the Pettis County Juvenile Office and to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office on Angelica Villagomez for allowing the juvenile to operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license.

Arrests

April 29

1:10 a.m.: Christopher J. Jones, 26, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
