This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests
July 26
10:11 a.m.: Heather Nicole Reyes, 32, of the 500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 3900 block of West Ninth Street for a report of theft. The caller stated someone had stolen a duvet cover and television out of one of the rooms. They were able to provide security camera footage of the incident and suspects were identified. Charges of burglary and theft will be submitted against the suspects.
July 30
12:12 a.m.: Katherine D. Romantsov, 25, of the 2000 block of Hunters Lane, was arrested after being observed failing to maintain a lane at West Broadway Boulevard and South Harrison Avenue. Romantsov was intoxicated and was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated, and released to a sober driver.
2:26 a.m.: Shaevon M. Collins, 34, of the 600 block of East 11th Street, was arrested after being observed speeding on East Broadway Boulevard. His vehicle also had a broken tail light, no license plate lights, and expired registration. A traffic stop on South Marvin Avenue near East 12th Street found the driver had a revoked driving status, an outstanding Pettis County warrant, and was intoxicated. Collins was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on the warrant, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
9:02 p.m.: Quincy Lamar Conley, 40, of the 500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop for expired registration and failure to maintain a lane near East Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue. Conley was charged with driving with a suspended license and released.
July 31
12:40 a.m.: Richard L. McPhail, 50, of the 2300 block of West Fifth Street, was arrested after a traffic stop at North Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue on a vehicle for one headlight, failing to maintain a lane, and chirping tires taking off from a red light. It was determined the driver was intoxicated and McPhail was transported to the Sedalia Police Department then the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a charge of felony driving while intoxicated.
5:32 a.m.: Brandon J. Cooper, 33, of the 1500 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance. Officers met two male subjects in the middle of the roadway. Cooper was yelling very loudly and causing a disturbance. He was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, and was issued municipal citations for public peace disturbance and pedestrian in the roadway.
5:41 a.m.: Anthony Rojas, 20, of the 2500 block of Kay Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near West 16th Street and South Beacon Avenue. It was determined that Rojas was intoxicated and there was drug paraphernalia found in the vehicle. The driver was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he received tickets for driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:37 a.m.: Sandra M. Hurd, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle check in the 1800 block of South Limit Avenue. Hurd was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with charges of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
1:34 p.m.: Jessica N. Tackett, 25, of the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue, was issued a summons after an officer met a victim who wished to report her peace was disturbed. A summons for public peace disturbance was issued to Tackett.

July 25
10:47 a.m.: A victim called the police department to report property from his business in the 2100 block of South Limit Avenue was stolen.
July 26
1:59 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a forgery report. A suspect came into the store and used a fake $100 bill to purchase tobacco products and gasoline. The suspect was identified and charges of forgery and stealing are being recommended.
July 29
9:21 a.m.: An employee of Sacred Heart School, 416 W. Third St., reported the illegal dumping of 12 tires into a solid waste container at the school.
1:29 p.m.: Officers responded to West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue for a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with a witness who reported a vehicle drove off the roadway and caused damage to a sidewalk, then drove away.
5:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of South Center Avenue in reference to a harassment report. The incident was documented for a general information report.
9:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 700 block of East Third Street in reference to property damage. The caller said someone had cut a lock to gain entry into a storage unit. The estimated damage is $40. No arrests made at this time.
11:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft. The complainant stated an ex-employee stole a sign from the business. The sign was recovered and returned to the business. No charges are being sought.
July 31
1:59 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a theft from a residence in the 3300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A suspect is unknown at this time.
12:31 p.m.: An officer met a victim in the lobby of the police department regarding a theft. The victim stated his CashApp card was fraudulently used at a business in the 2800 block of West Broadway Boulevard. A suspect has not been identified.
3:10 p.m.: An officer met a victim in the 1900 block of South Missouri Avenue who wished to report damage to his truck. There are no suspects at this time.
Aug 1
1:16 a.m.: Sedalia Police responded to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a commercial burglary alarm. Officers located an entry that had been made to the business. It is unknown at this time the amount of the theft.

Arrests
July 31
9:33 p.m.: Tristan Smith was arrested after deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless and imprudent driving. Smith began to accelerate from the deputy at a high rate of speed and fled west out of city limits at speeds in excess of 120 miles an hour, running two stop signs in the process. Deputies pursued Smith to Johnson County, where Smith exited onto Highway 23. Deputies lost sight of him and then spotted him on Irish Lane, parallel to U.S. Highway 50. He was stopped in the area of Angus Lane and Sixth Street Court in Knob Noster. He was transported back to Pettis County and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of resisting arrest by fleeing and creating substantial risk.

July 29
7:21 a.m.: Amanda A. Patzke, 31, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County for felony possession of a controlled substance - previous two counts. She was transported to the Henry County Jail.
7:50 p.m.: David L. McReynolds, 63, of Stover, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated – aggravated offender, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, careless and imprudent driving involving a crash, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
July 30
11:30 a.m.: Trysten S. Green, 26, of Tipton, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated – prior offender, failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway resulting in a crash, and no insurance. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
10:07 p.m.: Chrystal L. Morrison, 42, of Kaiser, was arrested in Morgan County for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.
