This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Incidents

Aug. 3

3:53 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft report. The reporting party stated a couple came into the store and stole an estimated $1,788 in merchandise.

4:24 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue in reference to an overdose. They administered NARCAN to keep the heavily sedated subject breathing. She was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for further treatment.

Aug. 7

8:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a missing person. The caller said a patient had gone to an appointment at Burrell Behavioral Health and failed to return to his residence at Stony Ridge Village. The subject was entered as a missing person.

8:50 p.m.: Officers made contact with the family of an elderly subject in the 500 block of West Seventh Street who was believed to be having medical issues at her residence. All signs indicated such an entry was made to find a subject in need of medical attention. A report was created for documentation.

11:40 p.m.: Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fourth Street in reference to an unconscious male subject lying in the parking lot with injuries. Pettis County Ambulance District began medical treatment and transported the man to Bothwell for additional care.

Arrests

Aug. 7

11:45 p.m.: Justin L. Decker, 46, of Carrollton, was arrested in Saline County for felony driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
