Arrests

Dec. 8

11:56 p.m.: A vehicle stop was performed on a vehicle for not having a front license plate, having an expired rear license plate and driving in the wrong traffic lane on South Kentucky Avenue and West Fifth Street. An investigation revealed the driver lied about his identity to avoid getting arrested for several warrants. Daquon D. Ervins, 22, of Otterville, was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid license, identity theft, and the warrants. 

Incidents

Dec. 7

11:05 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the area of South Limit Avenue and Liberty Park Boulevard regarding a hit-and-run with damages estimated to be $3,000 to $5,000. The suspect vehicle was described as a small, white passenger vehicle with heavy front end damage. After the accident, the suspect continued westbound on Liberty Park Boulevard and then turned northbound onto Gentry Avenue.

5:29 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive for a report of property damage. The complainant stated sometime over the past month someone had forced the driver side door on his vehicle open. There was visible damage to the door handle, steering wheel and ignition with damages estimated at $1,000.

Dec. 8

11:34 a.m.: Officers responded to the 4400 block of West Main Street where an individual reported a catalytic converter and front license plate had been stolen on two different vehicles.

Arrests

Dec. 8

7:25 p.m.: Deputies conducted a vehicle stop on U.S. Route 50 near East Prairie Road in La Monte for a vehicle failing to maintain lanes. The driver, Samuel Gonzalez Barajas, of Knob Noster, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and not having a valid driver’s license.
