This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 9

9 p.m.: Emily Ann Almazan, 29, of the 1100 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license. An officer saw Almazan driving a vehicle and recognized she was known to have a revoked license. He stopped the vehicle and arrested her after confirming her identity.

9:25 p.m.: Elizabeth Pearl Meador, 28, of the 1000 block of South Merriam Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license. An officer stopped Meador’s vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and Crescent Drive because he recognized her as a driver without a valid license. A computer check confirmed her invalid license, and he took her into custody.

Jan. 10

11:50 p.m.: Erik Mathew Elkins, 40, of the 400 block of Mill Street, was arrested on a charge of first-degree trespassing. An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of South Limit Avenue for a trespassing complaint. The complainant identified Elkins and said he left the property. The officer found Elkins down the street and arrested him.

Arrests

Jan. 9

6:55 a.m.: Matthew Wallen, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

8:55 p.m.: Joseph John Kocsis III was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. Deputies arrested Kocsis near U.S. 65 and Manila Road.

Jan. 9

8:35 p.m.: Aaron D. Curtis, 36, of Warsaw, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
