This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 18

2:45 p.m.: Joshua A. Couch, 42, of the 1900 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop near West 20th Street and South Warren Avenue. Couch was arrested for driving with a suspended license and transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released.

7:50 p.m.: Sergei S. Gladush Jr., 44, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 4200 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to trespassing. Gladush was highly intoxicated and the manager had asked him to leave multiple times, but he had not complied. Gladush was transported to the Pettis County Jail for first-degree trespassing.

Incidents

Jan. 18

12:23 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report in the 100 block of Rebar Road. The complainant believes his debit card information was skimmed while at a gas station and used to fraudulently purchase items online.

Arrests

Jan. 19

2:36 a.m.: Julian Schuker, 23, of Warrensburg, and Meagan Nusser, 22, of Sedalia, were arrested after a deputy conducted a traffic stop near 16th Street and Brown Avenue on a vehicle for failing to maintain a lane. Schuker was intoxicated, had a revoked driving status and resisted arrest. Nusser exited the vehicle, interfered with the arrest and refused lawful orders to return to the vehicle. Schuker was booked into the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated - prior offender, driving with a revoked license and resisting arrest. Nusser was booked for resisting arrest.

Arrests

Jan. 18

2:24 p.m.: Homero Garza, 45, of Gravois Mills, was arrested in Morgan County for driving with a suspended license - third or subsequent offense. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail.

Jan. 19

1:08 a.m.: Tanner J. Elmer, 30, of Cherokee, Kansas, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
