This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Jan. 23

10:43 p.m.: Luis Daniel Santiago Garcia, 49, of the 1500 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted near West Main Street and South State Fair Boulevard for a lane violation. Garcia had a suspended driving status and a failure to appear warrant from Pettis County. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Incidents

Jan. 22

5:55 p.m.: Officers received a call regarding a disturbance in the 1800 block of South Ingram Avenue. They spoke with the reporting party and the subject involved. A report was made for documentation purposes.

Jan. 23

3:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The manager said a subject came into the store and took several items without paying. They were recognized by both the manager and officer and charges for stealing were submitted to the prosecutor.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Jan. 23

5:51 p.m.: Seth Meads, 32, of Windsor, was arrested after deputies responded to the 100 block of Willa Drive in Windsor in reference to a disturbance. A female victim said she was at a neighboring residence when a male subject assaulted her, took her phone and refused to let her leave. She alleged the man exposed himself in front of her. Meads was transported to the Pettis County Jail and when searched, a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine was in his property. Meads was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of fourth-degree domestic assault, third-degree kidnapping, second-degree sexual misconduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrests

Jan. 23

10:54 p.m. Raymond J. Bravo Sein, 27, of California, was arrested in Moniteau County for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 mph. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail.
