This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 24

4:14 p.m.: Trenton Granville Sell, 21, of Windsor,  was arrested after a traffic stop near West Park Avenue and West Benton Street for no trailer plate. A check showed the driver's license status was revoked. He was arrested and taken to the police department and issued a municipal ticket for driving with a revoked license.

5:04 p.m.: Amber Lorine Storm Grandstaff, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to the 300 block of West Main Street for a report of property damage. A subject reported that a female subject came by his construction site and started throwing rocks at the building. One window was damaged. The suspect was later located and arrested.

7:59 p.m.: Zechariah Ka Lon Mon D. Hoskins Ellis, 23, of the 2400 block of Golf Drive, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard for driving in both westbound lanes. The odor of marijuana was detected and the subject was arrested and transported to Bothwell for a blood draw, transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released pending a charge of driving while intoxicated - drugs. 

Jan. 25

3:06 p.m.: Terra Renee Flinn, 36, of the 900 block of South Madison Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop in the 600 block of East 14th Street after observing that it was improperly registered. The driver had a suspended driving status and the passenger, Dana Marie Green, 34, of the 2400 block of South Quincy Avenue, was found having an active warrant for her arrest issued by the City of Sedalia. Both were arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, and booked.

Incidents

Jan. 24

7:45 a.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of North Heard Avenue for a domestic violence call. The female subject reported her juvenile sons were refusing to go to school and threatened to kill her if she tried to force them to go. A referral was made to the Pettis County Juvenile Office. 

2:55 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of West 18th Street for a report of theft. The victim stated that sometime between November and yesterday someone stole a brown leather bag from her room. The victim said she also was missing $20 cash. 

3:54 p.m.: An officer met a complainant in the 2400 block of Acker Drive who had their identity stolen. An unknown suspect somehow obtained the caller's information and unsuccessfully applied for credit devices and loans. 

Jan. 25

8:07 a.m.: An officer responded to the 2000 block of Clinton Road for a vehicle theft report. The complainant said the truck was taken in the early morning hours and the business wished to pursue charges. The vehicle was entered as stolen. 

10:46 a.m.: An officer spoke with a caller who said his iPhone was missing from the 200 block of West 13th Street. The phone has been entered into the system as missing.

2:26 p.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The victim stated her vehicle was struck while parked on the private lot. A suspect has not been identified. 

3:07 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 800 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a fraud report. Suspects used a cash app card in an attempt to purchase prepaid Visa cards. The employees were able to void the transaction and the cards to avoid any loss. 

9:54 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 100 block of East 16th Street in reference to a weapon being displayed at another person. The parties involved left the scene before officers arrived and a report was made for documentation.

Arrests

Jan. 25

8 a.m.: Darrell Nease, of the 3500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and introducing a controlled substance into a jail facility. Nease was placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.

Jan. 25

3:50 p.m.: Deputies took a crash report at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Preston Road in Pettis County.

Arrests

Jan. 25

12:40 p.m.: Derek L. Culbertson, 37, of Holden, was arrested in Benton County for felony possession of a controlled substance. He was processed and released.

3:45 p.m.: Pasquale J. Villegas, 39, of Odessa, was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.
