This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Jan. 21

4:49 p.m.: An officer responded to the 3100 block of South Grand Avenue for a theft report. The victim reported an Amazon package was stolen off his front porch valued at $38.95. A video of the suspect was available. The suspect has not been located.

Jan. 24

10:34 a.m.: Officers spoke with a victim in the police department lobby in reference to a stolen credit card that was fraudulently used at a local business. They collected the information and submitted a report.

4:17 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of Iron Avenue in reference to a possible stolen vehicle. They made contact with the subjects who had possession of the vehicle, which was seized and towed for safekeeping. A report has been submitted.

9:59 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft from inside a vehicle. The reporting party said her purse and its contents were stolen. The suspect is unknown.

Jan. 25

7:09 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of East Fifth Street. The reporting party explained there was damage to the property but does not have information on a suspect.

8:03 a.m.: Officers responded to a burglary call In the 500 block of West Third Street. The reporting party said a residence had items taken and damage to the interior. A suspect has not been identified.

2:49 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to fraudulent activity on a checking account. The reporting party gave information and a report was completed.
