This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 24

1:36 a.m.: Christina A. Cunningham, 29, of Mora, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Barrett Avenue for driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle without a front license plate. The officer could smell the odor of intoxicants on the driver’s breath. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC above 0.08.

Jan. 25

1:23 p.m.: Anthony Lamar Melton, 32, of the 400 block of West Henry Street, was issued a municipal court summons for destruction of property on West Fifth Street. On Jan. 21, an officer took a report of property damage, valued at $400. The suspect was identified and interviewed Jan. 25.

Jan. 26

1:39 a.m.: Jason Ryan Mucke, 38, of the 1000 block of West Third Street, was arrested in the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue for driving while intoxicated (prior offender). A traffic stop was conducted after an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane of traffic. The investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of intoxicants.

2:04 a.m.: Ryan G. Ardis, 42, of Sikeston, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation. The driver was found in possession of methamphetamine and LSD.

2:53 p.m.: Martavious K. Thomas, 30, of the 600 block of East 10th Street, was arrested in the 300 block of McAnally Court for second-degree burglary and stealing. Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress. The victim was informed by a neighbor that someone was in her unit. The subject was located and arrested.

Jan. 27

12:31 a.m.: Jordan Danielle Rhodes, 33, of Smithton, was arrested near the intersection of North Ohio Avenue and East Johnson Street for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Officers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Upon contact with the driver, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. A search revealed marijuana and additional evidence to indicate the driver was distributing the substance.

Jan. 26

6:16 p.m.: A sexual assault was reported in the 1500 block of West Ninth Street. The investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 26

6:44 p.m.: Deputies attempted to stop a green Dodge Dakota on U.S. Route 50 near state Route MM in Sedalia for careless and imprudent driving. As deputies activated their emergency lights to stop the vehicle, the vehicle continued to drive east toward Sedalia. Due to the amount of traffic, deputies terminated the pursuit for safety.

12:39 a.m.: Bailey J. Russell, 23, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated (drugs) and lane violation.
