This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 28

1208 a.m.: Risao Kerat Fred, 56, of the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard, was arrested after a traffic stop for a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign. Fred had a revoked driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of driving with a revoked license.

12:13 a.m.: Levi G. Bell, 41, of the 600 block of East 10th Street, was arrested after officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. They gathered enough information to arrest Bell as the primary aggressor and placed him on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

6:58 p.m.: Roy Lee Neighbors, 53, of the 1800 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched in reference to a drunken altercation between people known to each other. Neighbors was the primary aggressor and he was transported to the Pettis County Jail for second-degree domestic assault.

9:52 p.m.: Rodolfo Ruiz, 26, of the 600 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested after officers received a call regarding a disturbance. They spoke with both parties and determined domestic violence took place. The primary aggressor was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Ruiz was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of third-degree domestic assault.

10:30 p.m.: Maria Alejandra Nava Nava, 30, of the 900 block of East 14th Street, was arrested after officers responded to a 911 call and report of a disturbance. Domestic violence had occurred with injury and Nava was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a third-degree assault charge.

Incidents

Jan. 23

11:51 a.m.: Officers made contact with the owners of a property in the 1700 block of West Ninth Street, who reported that overnight, their business was broken into and items were stolen. The owners estimated the value of the items at $9,588.

9:32 p.m.: Officers received a call regarding a previous theft from a business in the 2900 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The cashier provided a description of the suspect and a report was submitted.

Jan. 28

2:14 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a hit-and-run accident in the 200 block of West Fourth Street. The victim and a witness said a vehicle backed into the victim's vehicle before leaving.

Jan. 29

1:47 a.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue in reference to a structure fire. When they arrived, the residence was on fire. The fire department responded and put it out.

4:45 a.m.: Officers received a call regarding an attempted vehicle theft near the 1800 block of South Prospect Avenue. They spoke with the victim and obtained a description of the suspect, who has not been located at this time.

Jan. 27

4:46 p.m.: Deputies took a report for a domestic disturbance in the 32000 block of Route U. There were no injuries reported and one party left the scene before deputies arrived.

Jan. 26

8:52 p.m.: James R. Robejsek, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway, and no insurance. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
