This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 2

2:08 a.m.: Izaiah D. Snyder, 22, of La Monte, was arrested in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue for driving while intoxicated. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle without tail lights. The officer noticed the odor of intoxicants on the driver’s breath. The subject was arrested and taken to SPD where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above .08.

10:49 p.m.: Roger Wayne Lindsey Jr., 35, of the 3600 block of South Kentucky Avenue, was arrested in the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue for two counts of third-degree assault. Officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed two subjects assaulted three residents of the home. One suspect was at the scene and arrested. The other subject fled prior to officers’ arrival and charges are being requested.

Jan. 4

2:47 a.m.: Zachary L. Denny, 26, of the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested in the 400 block of North Mill Street for driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane. A check of the driver revealed he had a revoked license and a search revealed he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 2

8:23 a.m.: An officer responded to the 300 block of West Main Street for a theft report. The victim stated that sometime overnight someone stole around $36,000 worth of tools and air compressors from his job site.

3:59 p.m.: A victim reported a suspect assaulted them Dec. 31 at a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect was identified and charges are being requested.

1:20 a.m.: Kimberly J. Mills, 44, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign.
