This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

June 3

1:16 p.m.: Seth Ryan Bourque, 33, of the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop at North Park Avenue and West Benton Street for expired registration. Borque did not have a valid driver's license and was placed under arrest, and was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail. 

June 8

9:07 p.m.: Joseph E. Fore, 39, of the 500 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested after a traffic stop at West Third Street and South Moniteau Avenue for expired registration. Fore had a suspended driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released. 

9:20 p.m.: Micah D. Ritchie, 22, of La Monte, was arrested after being observed speeding near West Broadway Boulevard and Oak Grove Lane. He was intoxicated and was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, found to be in possession of marijuana, and was issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated. 

Incidents

June 8

8:01 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of South Monaco Avenue for an unknown incident. It was determined there had been an argument between two people. One left the scene before officers arrived.

Arrests

June 5

2:29 a.m.: Marita A. Grant, 31, of Centerview, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

10 a.m.: Derek D. Stach, 27, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released. 

June 7

2:30 p.m.: Rodger L. Kempke, 56, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County for felony promoting child pornography, felony possession of child pornography, and felony sex offender residing within 1,000 feet of a school. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

June 8

10:43 a.m.: Joseph E. Lopez, 42, of Kansas City, was arrested in Saline County for a felony Clay County warrant for possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor warrants for Clay County traffic infractions, and driving with revoked driver's license. He was transported to the Saline County Jail.
