This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 19

1:35 a.m.: Juan Zacarias Ubaldo, 22, of the 600 block of East 10th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Ingram Avenue for a vehicle that was driving in both lanes. It was discovered the driver had a revoked driver's license and was intoxicated. Zacharias was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained for a blood sample and he was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw. He was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released. A request for charges of driving while intoxicated-prior offender and driving while revoked has been submitted to the prosecutor.

June 23

11:22 p.m.: Maksim Vladmirovich Timoshchuk, 28, of the 1000 block of Ensign Drive, was arrested after a vehicle check in the parking lot at 3509 W. Main St. An occupant in the vehicle was in possession of heroin and methamphetamine and was arrested for possession of opium/cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.

Incidents

June 22

5:32 p.m.: An officer responded to the 600 block of West Third Street in reference to a theft. The victim stated that while she was moving items from her house her tablet was stolen. A suspect has not been identified.

June 23

7:44 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Marvin Avenue in reference to a theft report. The victim said overnight several items were stolen off the front porch of the business.

10:31 p.m.: An officer took a report of forgery and theft from a business in the 3500 block of West 16th Street. A counterfeit bill was used at the store and a report was completed.

1:22 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of East Fourth Street in reference to a theft. The victim said one of his license plates was stolen. The plate was entered into the system as stolen.

Incidents

June 23

9:30 a.m.: Deputies took a report for the theft of a firearm from a vehicle in the 1700 block of East Timber Ridge Drive in Pettis County. The investigation continues.

June 23

10:40 a.m.: Shane R. Morgan, 39, from Ames, Iowa, was arrested in Morgan County for felony possession of a controlled substance (five grams of methamphetamine), felony possession of a controlled substance (15 pills of diazepam), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana, failure to display a valid license plate on a motor vehicle, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

11:40 a.m.: Shaela D. Fisher, 22, from Ames, Iowa, was arrested in Morgan County for felony possession of a controlled substance (1 gram of methamphetamine), felony possession of a controlled substance (six pills of alprazolam), no seat belt, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and released.
