This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 23

12:51 a.m.: Gene K. Robinson, 64, of the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard, was arrested after a  vehicle stop at West 10th Street and Thompson Boulevard. The owner was known to have a revoked driving status, and during the course of the investigation it was determined the driver was intoxicated. A search found a pipe used for smoking drugs in his pocket and he was transported to the police department, Bothwell for a blood draw, then the Pettis County Jail where he was booked on charges of driving while intoxicated - persistent offender, driving with a revoked driver's license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

7:38 p.m.: Lyoniel Jack Myers, Jr., 67, of the 1300 block of Walker Circle was arrested after officers conducted an investigative stop on a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Officers knew the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license, and the driver was found to be the registered owner. Myers was arrested and released on scene with a City summons for driving with a suspended license. 

Incidents

June 22

7:54 a.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of East 19th Street for a report of harassment. Contact was made with a female subject who found harassing letters in front of her house. 

1:25 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Third Street for a hit and run report. The caller stated after work he noticed damage to his driver's door. There was a witness to the hit-and-run and there are two addresses with cameras facing the intersection where the accident took place. 

5:31 p.m.: Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of North Grand Avenue and West Johnson Street. A consent search of the vehicle located a Bic pen that had been cut down and a small glass vial. A white powdery residue inside both items field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. The items were seized for destruction. 

7:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Heckart Community Center in reference to a theft. A victim reported he had $150 stolen from his wallet that was in a locker. No arrests have been made. 

June 23

8:03 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Fourth Street for a property damage report. An unknown subject pulled down a free-standing cross at the property. The value of the damage is currently unknown. 

10:20 a.m.: A complainant came to the police department to report an incident of animal abuse. They were told of texts that the subject had received from another person involved with animal abuse. The animal was removed from the home and was taken to the veterinarian. 

12:11 p.m.:  Officers were dispatched to Domino's Pizza, 3200 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a forgery. A delivery driver received three fake $20 bills on the previous night, and another delivery driver received two more fake $20 bills.

1:05 p.m.: A victim called the police department to report an identity theft and telephone service fraud. Someone called up a company using his name, date of birth, social security number and address to set up a new service for an iPhone 13. The company sent an alert saying the victim's communication preferences had changed and to contact them if this was incorrect. The shipping on the phone was halted and the change to the service was corrected. 

4:33 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of East 14th Street for a report of a theft. Contact was made with a female who reported that her wallet was stolen from her office by a male suspect. Her credit cards were then used at a local store.

June 23

5:59 p.m.: Paul W. Wilt, 59, of Osceola, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
