This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 27

7:56 p.m.: Joseph E. Fore, 40, of the 500 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested after the owner of a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue reported a theft and property damage at the business. The victim reported someone damaged the coin-operated machine to gain entry and stole approximately $10 in coins. The suspects were identified from surveillance video. Fore was arrested for stealing and second-degree property damage. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

8:25 p.m.: Angelica Sue Walker, 33, of the 300 block of North Randolph Avenue, and Cynetta A. Casey, 19, of the 600 block of South Missouri Avenue, were arrested after officers responded to the 3000 block of West 10th Street for an assault. An investigation was completed and both parties were issued citations for assault.

Incidents

Feb. 27

6:04 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of West 16th Street for a report of stealing. The victim stated sometime overnight, someone took a computer system valued at $4,000 from inside the residence. There were no signs of forced entry and the victim identified a suspect. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been located for questioning.

4:17 p.m.: Officers took a report from East Fifth Street and South Marvin Avenue for a stolen vehicle. The reporting party stated her vehicle was stolen over the weekend. No suspects have been identified.

Feb. 26

6:42 a.m.: Bryce D. Martin, 18, of Fortuna, was arrested in Morgan County for felony driving while intoxicated involving physical injury, careless and imprudent driving, violating the provisions of an intermediate license, no seat belt, no insurance, and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was released.
