This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 12

1:03 p.m.: Thomas Lee Murphy, 38, of the 1600 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched for a verbal disturbance involving a mental health crisis. They arrived, spoke with the parties involved and gathered written statements. Murphy was transported to the Pettis County Jail for fourth-degree domestic assault.

8:12 p.m.: Travis Alexander Lawson, 39, of the 300 block of North Randolph Avenue, was arrested after being observed on East Saline Street with no plates. He was impaired by drugs and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked for driving while intoxicated.

March 13

4:57 a.m.: Joel Romero Quetzecua, 34, of the 1300 block of East Third Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop for no front plate near West Broadway Boulevard and South Carr Avenue. He was placed on a 24-hour hold for driving without a valid driver's license.

Incidents

March 5

11:47 a.m.: A female contacted the police department to report a theft that occurred early in the morning in the 600 block of East 16th Street.

March 12

1:22 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Seventh Street for a hit-and-run accident. They spoke with a complainant and gathered information for a report.

6:44 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1800 block of West Third Street in reference to multiple car break-ins. They spoke with the victims and gathered information for a report.

Arrests

March 12

6:18 p.m.: Maynor R. Cobon, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated-alcohol-prior offender, driving with a revoked license, operating a motor vehicle knowing the owner has not maintained financial responsibility and operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail.
