This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 24

7:08 p.m.: Alexandria M. Bates, 36, of Lincoln, was arrested after officers observed her walking near West Fourth Street and South Summit Avenue. Bates was known to have a felony no-bond probation/parole violation warrant. Further investigation revealed she was in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. Bates was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for the new charges.

11:50 p.m.: Alla Mishchuk, 34, of the 1600 block of West Fifth Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Seventh Street and South Washington Avenue for speeding, failing to maintain the right half of the roadway, and attempting to evade the officer. Mishchuk was determined to be impaired by drugs. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on a 24-hour hold and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. A charge of no insurance is also being requested. 

Incidents 

March 24

6:35 p.m.: An officer responded to the 300 block of West Seventh Street in reference to a subject who was overdosing on drugs and not breathing. Officers began giving medical treatment and administered NARCAN. Sedalia Fire Department and Pettis County Ambulance District staff also arrived on the scene and began medical treatment. The subject eventually recovered but refused further treatment or transportation to the hospital.

Pettis County Sheriff's Office

Incidents

12:16 p.m.: Deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the 27000 block of Smasal Road for a domestic disturbance. After the investigation, no arrests were made.
