This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

May 2

11:57 a.m.: Louis G. Davis, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested after a vehicle stop at West Main Street and Thompson Road. An occupant of the vehicle was seen driving the vehicle prior to the stop and was arrested for driving with a suspended license. 

Incidents

April 6

7:02 p.m.: Officer Fox and K9 Ace were requested to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Interstate 70. K9 Ace was deployed for a search and a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana were located. A suspect was arrested by MSHP.

April 20

3:16 p.m.: K9 Ace was requested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for a vehicle sniff at Highway 50 and Chevalier Road in La Monte. K9 Ace was deployed and gave a positive alert.

April 29

11:44 p.m.: An officer responded to the 500 block of West Seventh Street in reference to an assault that just occurred. The victim stated that three females known to her came to the residence and assaulted her. Suspect names have been given. The case will be sent to the prosecutor for review. 

May 2

11:08 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard for a report of property damage. The caller's vehicle was hit with a paintball sometime earlier in the morning.

5:40 p.m.: The Sedalia Police Department took a theft report over the phone. A victim in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported that a suspect stole a carton of cigarettes valued at $60.

Pettis County Sheriff's Office

Arrests

May 3

3:05 a.m.: Lecia Parnell was arrested after the K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of 32nd Street and U.S. Highway 65 in Pettis County. Parnell was charged with felony driving with a revoked license.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

Arrests

May 2

12:19 p.m.: Gerald M. Salzer, 57, of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
