This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Incidents

Nov. 28

7:41 a.m.: An officer met a victim in the 2700 block of South Limit Court for a reported theft. An unknown suspect stole batteries and impact drivers from a trailer parked in the area. 

9:14 a.m.: An officer met a victim in the 1000 block of South Lamine Avenue who wished to report someone had burglarized their home. Suspects have not been contacted. 

11:35 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East 17th Street for a report of an assault. The suspect was not located and the case has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office for consideration. 

3:25 p.m.: An officer spoke with a victim in the 1000 block of East 16th Street who wished to report that a package was delivered to an old address in the 1000 block of East 16th Street. Contact has not been made with a suspect at this time. 

8 p.m.: Officers responded to the 500 block of South Grand Avenue in reference to a burglary. Officers made contact with the caller, who stated a window was smashed and items were taken from the residence. There are no suspects at this time.

Incidents

Nov. 27

7 p.m.: A deputy took a report of an assault in the 19000 block of Highway T in La Monte. The complainant said he was assaulted by persons known to him and his phone was taken Nov. 27. The incident is under investigation.

Arrests

Nov. 28

8:55 p.m.: Cody W. Wood, 35, of Belton, was arrested in Johnson County for felony driving while intoxicated – drugs, failure to have two headlamps, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

Nov. 29

2:21 a.m.: Sayyed R. Silvers, 29, of Belton, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, failure to drive in the right-hand lane, and driving with a suspended license. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.
