This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Oct. 13

4:30 p.m.: Catherine M. Enriquez, 19, of the 300 block of Scott Joplin Avenue, was arrested after officers initiated an investigative traffic stop on a car near West Main Street and South Kentucky Avenue because the registered owner was revoked. The driver was the owner, and her license was revoked so she was arrested, taken to the Pettis County Jail, and booked for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Oct. 10

7:37 p.m.: Officers took a report in the lobby in reference to an assault on a juvenile by an adult subject. The complainant stated an adult male punched her juvenile son. The suspect has been identified but not contacted at this time.

Oct. 13

3:55 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the area of West Third Street and South Limit Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The suspect vehicle struck the victims vehicle and continued north on South Limit Avenue without stopping.

Oct. 14

5:49 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a trespassing report. The victim said that former tenants have been occupying the apartment even after being evicted. Trespassing charges are being submitted to the State prosecutor on both subjects. 

8:15 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Third Street for a missing person report. The runaway was located.

Incidents

Oct. 11

7:10 p.m.: The Pettis County K-9 unit responded to the 2400 block of Oak Grove Lane in Pettis County in reference to a drug offense. During the investigation glass paraphernalia was seized.

Oct. 14

12:40 p.m.: Ryan Miller of Sedalia was arrested after deputies were called to the 3000 block of Brooking Park Avenue for an assault in progress. He was booked into the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold pending three counts of third-degree (special victim) assault.
