Oct. 15
11:08 a.m.: Robert S. Hammond, 43, of Stover, was arrested after an officer responded to a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Drive for a disturbance. The store manager said Hammond had taken a total of 34 bags of insulation without paying during three prior visits. The total theft was valued at $930.44. Hammond was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released. Felony charges of stealing are being requested.
Oct. 20
1:38 p.m.: Austin Lee Wood, 25, of the 30000 block of Ball Road, was arrested after police took a report of a violation of an ex parte order in the 1300 block of East 13th Street. The victim stated the subject had been contacting her on the phone. Police located the suspect and he was arrested on outstanding warrants and placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of violation of an ex parte order and tampering with a victim.
2:20 p.m.: Mario A. Madrid, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for trespassing at a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail and held for 24 hours pending charges of first-degree trespass.
11:22 p.m.: Randall J. Smith, 53, of the 18000 block of Woodland Road, was arrested after failing to stop at the Third Street and Lamine Avenue stop sign and displaying a car license plate on a truck. He was arrested for driving with a revoked license.
Oct. 22
1:48 a.m.: Sandara Marie Hurd, 46, of the 1200 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for failing to maintain the lane, no driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia. An occupant, Michael Ray Butler, 28, of the 1100 block of South Ohio Avenue, had a warrant out of Pettis County for possession of a controlled substance. All three occupants were arrested, taken to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on a 24-hour hold for possession of a controlled substance.

Oct. 16
9:24 a.m.: An officer responded to a business in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue for a hit-and-run accident. The manager stated a driveway sign was damaged overnight. Security footage of the incident has been provided. The subject has not been located. The value of the sign was $1,500.
Oct. 17
5:14 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 2900 block of Clinton Road in reference to a theft. The wheels and tires were stolen from a customer's car while it was parked in the lot. The value of the stolen items was approximately $800. No suspects have been identified.
Oct. 20
2:57 p.m.: Officers responded to the 600 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a physical altercation with a large group of juveniles. Officers made contact with multiple juveniles and after further investigation, it was determined that two male juveniles had been involved in a physical altercation in front of the residence. The altercation was mutual between both parties and neither party had visible injuries. Referrals will be sent to the Pettis County Juvenile office for both involved parties.
3:07 p.m.: Officers responded to the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ingram Avenue in reference to property damage. They determined that a school bus had a rock thrown through the windshield while students were on board. Glass was sent through the bus, reportedly causing minor injuries to a student on board. The value of the damage is estimated at $500. The suspect was identified as another juvenile and the case was referred to the Pettis County Juvenile office.
Oct. 21
12:01 p.m.: A victim came to the Sedalia Police Department to report that someone had potentially stolen their new phone. The delivery service showed it was delivered, but the victim never received it.
3:20 p.m.: The Sedalia Police Department took an assault report in the 1000 block of East 13th Street.

Arrests
Oct. 21
10:27 p.m.: Mason Heston was arrested after Pettis County deputies conducted a vehicle stop in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The passenger, later identified as Heston, ran from the vehicle and attempted to evade law enforcement. He was found hiding from law enforcement in a nearby dumpster. Heston was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail for two Pettis County warrants and felony resisting arrest.
