This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 27

11:18 a.m.: Brady Allen Allred, 32, of the 2400 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers responded to the probation and parole office, 205 Thompson Road, for a reported trespassing. It was reported Allred was asked to leave but refused and assaulted a staff member. He was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for fit of confinement, then the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.

9:33 p.m.: Crystal Lorene Dillon, 34, of the 400 block of Albright Court, was arrested after a car was stopped at a business on East Broadway Boulevard and New York Avenue after being observed driving with a headlight out and speeding. A passenger jumped from the car and refused orders to get back in. Dillonn resisted arrest and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold for resisting arrest.

Oct. 28

4:18 a.m.: Rory A. Ridinger III, 24, of the 2100 block of South Harrison Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. The victim said a man known to her hit her in the back of the head, causing an injury. She was transported to Bothwell for treatment. Ridinger was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a second-degree domestic assault charge.

Oct. 29

1:55 a.m.: James William Barker II, 21, of the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to the 900 block of Winchester Drive for a disturbance. The victim stated she was punched in the face by a male subject. A short while later, a man returned to the scene and was placed under arrest. Baker was released to a sober person.

2:13 a.m.: Kendra Lavatta Jordan, 30, of the 400 block of North Missouri Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway near South Park Avenue and West Second Street. Jordan had a suspended driving status and was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and issued a uniform traffic ticket.

Oct. 30

2:24 a.m.: Evan C. Bankovich, 29, of the 17000 block of Main Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of East 14th Street for a subject observed breaking into a vehicle. They established a perimeter and a drone was deployed. Bankovich was seen walking through various yards, attempting to avoid law enforcement. Officers moved in on the subject and placed him under arrest. He was evaluated by the Pettis County Ambulance District before being transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of second-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Incidents

Oct. 26

4:12 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 13th Street for trespassing and a dog bite. The reporting party stated a man was on their property looking in their truck when their dog got out and bit the subject on the leg. A trespass warning was issued to the subject and a dog bite report was collected.

5:07 p.m.: Officers took a theft report in the 1100 block of South Limit Avenue. An employee said she had hung her coat on the back of a chair and someone stole it.

Oct. 27

7:10 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Moniteau Avenue for a report of harassment. Information was gathered from the involved parties and a report was completed to document the situation.

6:48 p.m.: Officers took a theft report from the 700 block of East 13th Street. The victim stated items were taken from his garage without his knowledge. Information for the report was collected.

Oct. 28

12:11 p.m.: Officers responded to the 2500 block of Stacey Lane for a man lying on the ground by the dumpsters. He had a head wound and was transported to Bothwell for treatment. An investigation of the incident is ongoing.

6:43 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. The business reported a subject taking several cakes and cupcakes and then exiting the store without paying. Information for a report was collected.

Oct. 29

9:19 a.m.: Police took a theft report in the 1300 block of South Madison Avenue. The victim reported someone stole a firearm from his vehicle. There are no suspects.

11:47 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of South Madison Avenue for a vehicle broken into overnight. $304 in items were reported stolen. No suspects were arrested.

Oct. 30

4:18 a.m.: Officers responded to the 2500 block of Dennis Road for a welfare check. They discovered the caller had provided a false name and had an ex parte order against him by the person he had law enforcement check on. Charges are being submitted to the prosecutor for violation of a court order.

Oct. 27

5:25 p.m.: Rolando A. Mendoza, 53, of Carrollton, was arrested in Johnson County for a felony Sarpy County warrant and driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department.

Oct. 28

1:17 a.m.: Janette F. Harms, 59, of Ionia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

9:46 p.m.: Shelly M. Muse, 51, of California, was arrested in Moniteau County for driving while intoxicated/alcohol - first offense. She was released.

Oct. 29

2:18 a.m.: Elissa N. Armstrong, 25, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash, and displaying a plate of another person. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
