Trace Adkins and Lonestar to perform Aug. 11

The Missouri State Fair announced Thursday that Trace Adkins along with Lonestar will open the fair this year at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11 on the stage of the State Fair Grandstand.

Multi-platinum country star Adkins has sold 11 million albums since 1996 and charted more than 37 singles, his website states. He’s had 14 singles in Billboard’s top 10 and has multiple Grammy nominations and awards from the AMC and CMT. Adkins is known for his songs, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “There’s a Girl in Texas,” and “Hillbilly Bone,” with Blake Shelton.

Adkins will take the stage with the country music group Lonestar, consisting of Drew Womack, Michael Britt, Dean Sams, and Keech Rainwater. The group has nine No. 1 hits and is known for "Unusually Unusual," "Tequila Talkin'," "Everything's Changed," "Say When," "Heartbroke Every Day" and the popular song "Walking in Memphis."

Ticket prices are $45 for track and $35 for grandstand. The public can purchase Grandstand tickets beginning at 9 a.m. June 28.
