Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Simons Jr. will observe their 50th anniversary April 12.
Lloyd Simons Jr. and Edith Paxton were married April 12, 1968, in Sedalia.
Lloyd worked for the Sedalia Police Department and retired in June 1998 after 31 years of service. Edie is a dedicated mother and grandmother of eight.
The couple have two children, Lloyd (Jennifer) Simons III, of Jamesport, and Michael (Suzie) Simons, of Sedalia; and eight grandchildren.
