Sondra Stapley will celebrate her 80th birthday on April 8.
Sondra was born April 8, 1944, in Sedalia to Doris and F.J. Schenk. She was raised on a farm southeast of La Monte and attended school at La Monte all 12 years.
After high school, she worked in several banks for 30 years and also five years as a realtor in Sedalia, before retiring. Her hobbies include rescuing animals and working with flowers.
She has been married to Jerry Stapley for 31 years and they belong to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Sedalia.
She has two sons, Vincent Jerome Walk, of Shawnee, Kansas, and Jamie Lee Walk, of Independence; and three grandsons.
