Euphemia Zahringer, of Sedalia, will be 100 years old on April 23.
She was born April 23, 1923, in Chisholm, Minnesota, to the late Sam and Dora Orlich. She was married to the late Keith Zahringer, of Sedalia, on Feb. 1, 1947, in Chisholm.
Euphemia has two children, Karen (Wayne) Barr, of Springfield, Virginia, and Kenneth (Alyson) Zahringer, of Columbia.
Euphemia was in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II and trained pilots in radio navigation. After retiring from a career as a bank cashier, she worked as an adult literacy instructor at State Fair Community College and a proofreader for PrintLynx in Sedalia. She is a member of First Christian Church and PEO.
A reception will be hosted from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22 in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church, 200 S. Limit Ave.
